We know how much you love our Dessert of the Week spot, and apologies to all those who missed it over the last few weeks – I blame Christmas! So I’m very pleased to kick off the New Year in style with our first dessert of 2011 – Hazelnut & Lemon, a classic Bachmann combination of flavours and textures. We take a thin chocolate sponge base, add a light, hazelnut mousse with a creamy lemon brulee centre and spray with milk chocolate for a crisp outer and a perfect finish. As ever, it’s delicious.
We’re supporting the Thames Ditton Fayre this Sunday, a good old fashioned village fete on the very picturesque cricket green. Look out for our banners and all the volunteers in Bachmann’s aprons serving tea and Bachmann’s pastries – choose from stem ginger cakes, brownies, friands and our famous plum frangipani - which we have donated to help raise money. All being well, it should help swell the charity coffers by around £500. See you there!
